The Renaissance of Classical Perfumery
Today the perfumer is always constrained when creating a perfume - meeting price criteria, be a certain colour and to be exactly the same year in, year out. Even the amount of an ingredient used in a perfume may be controlled as, particularly with natural oils and absolutes, the annual harvest may be limited.
In times gone by it was the quintessential beauty of an ingredient that would inspire the perfumer to build a perfume, with each additional ingredient added to breathe life into the composition. Compositions that derived an inherent colour from the natural oils they were composed of and that mellowed with age.
Club Parfumerie is leading a renaissance of classical perfumery – by placing the emphasis on the most valued ingredients and classical perfume structures in the creation of its range of perfumes. Each year we release a new vintage of each of our perfumes - our Cuvée Reserve.
